Oakes Wins Three Golds At Eureka

Brandon Oakes won three individual gold medals to lead the Trojan track team to a fourth-place finish at the Eureka track meet Thursday.
Oakes took first place in the 100 meters with a time of 11.1, the 200 meters at 23.1 and the 300 meter hurdles at 42.9. The other gold from the meet was earned by the 4×800 meter relay team which turned in a time of 9:12.
Jerod Bechtel was third in the 400 meters with a time of 55.7. Grant Maimer was fourth in the 3200 meter run with a time of 11:00 and Brandon Gaines was fifth in the 800 meters at 2:23. The 4×400 meter relay team also tool fifth and the 4×100 relay team was sixth.
The Osawatomie girls took sixth place at the meet.
Cassie Moulthrop won the long jump with a distance of 15-1. Kinsley Duncan took second in the 300 meter hurdles and Jessica Roeckl was fifth in the same event. Rebecca Fisher was fourth in the shot put.
The 4×100 meter relay team took first place with a time of 54.5.
