OHS Students Awarded $200,000 In Scholarships

Thirty-five high school seniors got some much needed help toward college expenses Monday night.

At the 12th Annual Frank Elliott Scholarship banquet, $200,000 in local scholarship money was awarded to some very deserving candidates.

One-after-another, presenters of scholarships Monday night talked about how tough the selection was this year for Osawatomie High School scholarships.

Presenters praised the quality of the applicants they screened for the 188 local scholarships speaking of their academic progress as well as their high character.

Daniel Dorsett and Seth Jones each received Royce L. Bray scholarships in the amount of $15,000. Sarah Maddox and Kayleigh Shay were awarded Brand-Wagner Scholarships of $10,000 each.
