Trojan Volleyball Team Takes Two Of Three At Prairie View

The Osawatomie volleyball team went 2-1 Thursday night in matches played at Prairie View.

The Trojans opened the night with a 25-20, 25-18 win over Prairie View. Tayler Soucie had 12 kills and two blocks in the two games. Tess Newport had 15 assists and Kaylee Hurt had four aces.

The Trojans’ only loss of the night came against Louisburg 25-8, 25-23. Soucie had six aces and Newport had seven assists. Suzy Waddle had two aces in the games.

The final opponent was Fort Scott and Osawatomie won in three games 25-23, 19-25, 25-18.

Soucie had 15 kills and two blocks. Newport and Soucie each had nine assists.

Osawatomie now has a 4-10 record for the season and plays at the Pomona tournament Saturday.
