Flood Zone Sold, Closed

By Jeff Gulley

After the sale of the business less than a month ago, the Flood Zone closed its doors on Thursday.

Sometime on Thursday, boards were placed over the windows at the bar and grill and the locks were changed.

Former owner, Tony Savage, posted on Facebook in a note to former customers saying he was disappointed that the business closed. Then Savage filed a lawsuit against the new owner, Terry Fowler, and the property owner, Linda Crouch.

The lawsuit accuses Crouch of interfering with a contract and Fowler of breach of contract.

Fowler and his attorney were both contacted but did not return calls as of press time. It’s not known why Fowler closed the business.

Crouch, owner of Plum Creek Properties, said Monday that she denies the allegations in the lawsuit and that she only owns the property, which the Flood Zone rents.

According to Crouch, the Flood Zone was near the end of a five-year lease and the rent had been paid.
