Volleyball Team Takes Third at Pomona

The Osawatomie volleyball team avenged a loss earlier in the day against Burlingame to take third place at the Pomona Invitational Saturday.

The Trojans beat Burlingame 25-21, 25-19 in the consolation final to earn third place.

Tayler Soucie had 11 kills and Brianna Crain added four in the match. Jessie Adams had three kills. Crain had four aces on serves and Mackenzie Nickell had 29 assists.

Osawatomie was 2-2 in pool play losing to Burlingame 25-18, 25-14 and Osage City 25-16, 25-12.

The Trojans beat Metro Academy 25-17, 25-14. Soucie had 14 kills in the match. Suzy Waddle had four aces.

Osawatomie needed three games to top Lyndon 26-24, 21-25, 25-22. Soucie had 22 kills and six blocks.
