Buffalos Drop Two In Garnett

By Jessica Jones

Prairie View traveled to Garnett on Oct. 5 to face Anderson County and Central Heights in a triangular.

The night did not go how Prairie View would have liked, however, there was one positive. Prairie View was able to contain their missed serves to only one while their opponents missed nine. The Buffalos started by playing Anderson County.

In both games they came out flat and ended up losing both by a score of 25-14. Prairie View had 13 kills, but this was not quite enough to build a momentum to overtake the Bulldogs.

After playing the Bulldogs they were back on the court to face Central Heights. Yet again Prairie View came out with little intensity and lost 25-6, 25-14.

If a positive could be found in these two games, it was that Prairie View did not have any missed serves. Against the Vikings, Prairie View landed 11 kills in both games combined, but Central Heights’ hitting and ability to dig balls out allowed them to prevail over Prairie View.

Also playing that night was the JV and the freshmen.

The freshmen only faced Anderson County and they lost both games. The junior varsity played Anderson County first and also lost both games.

Prairie View JV then played Central Heights, losing a close game 25-21. Their second game was not as close with a score of 25-8.
