Talking Tombstones 7p.m Saturday

History will come alive Saturday night and benefit the Osawatomie Historic Preservation Fund.

Osawatomie’s earliest residents will have their stories told at their final resting place, Oakwood Cemetery. The Talking Tombstones event begins at 7 p.m. and will feature the newly formed Osawatomie Time Machine Troup.

Tickets are $3 each or two for $5. Children’s tickets are $1 and can be purchased at the John Brown Museum, the Osawatomie History Museum and the night of the event.

Oakwood Cemetery is located at Sixth Street and Carr Avenue. In case of bad weather, the event will be moved to the Old Stone Church, 315 Sixth St. Refreshments will be provided.
