New Volleyball Club Tryouts Are Sunday

Osawatomie volleyball players who played with the Slammers volleyball club will now be able to tryout for the new Kansas Krush team.

Marsha Adams, one of the founders of the Slammers, said the new Krush organization will be similar to the Slammers with many of the same board members but will have its own identity.

The Krush is also starting from scratch, having to buy new balls and equipment, and is planning three tournaments this year to help with the costs involved.

Tryouts for the new teams will be Nov. 14 at Osawatomie High School.

Teams for girls ages 10 through 16 are available.

Before attending the tryouts, players need to be registered at www.hoavb.org.

Ages 10-14 will tryout from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Those ages 15-16 will have tryouts from 2-4 p.m.
