Life Care Center Names New Director
By Jeff Gulley
Life Care Center of Osawatomie has a new executive director.
Aimee Seck was appointed interim executive director on Jan. 7 succeeding Cameron Hodges.
“I’m happy to be chosen for this position and happy to be working close to home,” Seck said.
Seck had been serving at Life Care Center as marketing director for the past few years but has been preparing for a move to director. Since August, she has been working toward her state license through Cawley County Community College. She earned her state license recently and said she will be taking the national administrators’ exam and interviewing to be the permanent Life Care executive director.
Seck takes over during a big remodeling project. She said the rooms at the short-term rehab wing on the west side of the building are being changed into private rooms with private baths. She said by mid-February seven rooms should be finished with the potential for 24.
Seck said the new rooms will help Life Care stay competitive which is part of the overall plan to improve the facility.
“We have a great rehab facility and great nurses,” she said. “We need to get our census up and improve our overall employee moral.”
An open house has been planned for the public to meet Seck from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Jan. 27.
